Watermelon Sorbet with Lime (Printable Version)

A refreshing watermelon sorbet made with just three simple ingredients.

# What You Need:

→ Fruit

01 - 4 cups seedless watermelon, cut into cubes (about 1 small watermelon)

→ Sweetener

02 - 1/3 cup granulated sugar or honey (adjust to taste)

→ Citrus

03 - 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

# How to Make:

01 - Spread the watermelon cubes out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Freeze for 2-3 hours, or until the cubes are solid.
02 - In a high-powered blender or food processor, combine the frozen watermelon cubes, sugar (or honey), and fresh lime juice. Blend until perfectly smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
03 - Taste, and adjust sweetness or lime juice if desired.
04 - For a scoopable sorbet, transfer the mixture to a loaf pan or airtight container and freeze for another 1-2 hours until firm.
05 - Serve immediately for a softer texture, or scoop after fully frozen.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • This sorbet has a way of bringing everyone together for laughter and light conversations on hot days.
  • It’s incredibly easy to whip up, making it a foolproof dessert for last-minute gatherings.
02 -
  • The first time I made this, I didn’t freeze the watermelon long enough, which made for a lumpy sorbet.
  • Adding a splash of vodka not only enhances the flavor but keeps the texture perfectly creamy.
03 -
  • If using honey, make sure it’s at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • Chill your blender beforehand for an even smoother consistency.
